leyton woke me up way too early - but at least it wasn't until 8-ish. : ) we fixed waffles & sausage for breakfast & i thankfully had some OJ left from last time he was here. then shawna came over w/ bunches of food - mac & cheese, OJ, milk, and she'd given the kids a bunch of valentine candy, as well. they'll be on a sugar high for days! lol i'd asked bret to stop & get TP & milk on the way home, which he did... but the milk was sitting by the desk this morning??? i guess he set it down & was too tired to put it in the fridge? idk, he got home WAY late, and the milk was still cold, so it should be fine, right? and the TP - i just assumed (whoops) he knew what kind of TP we get! we've grocery shopped together several times for pete's sakes! lol for some (most?) ppl it might not be a big deal, but to me TP is one of the most important items! i mean, we've all experienced the 1 ply at the local such & so, right? LOL
anyway, so leytonbug & i played for a bit & watched toy story 3 & then it was time to get dressed & head out. as you (may) know, doing anything w/ a 3 year old in tow takes longer than just going yourself. *laugh* so, i started to get us ready to leave at 9:30, we actually left about 10, and the plan was to go to the bank, bed bath & beyond & kohl's & then the PO. we made the bank... LOL leyton didn't want to go to bed bath & beyond for some reason, so we went to sam's. i wanted to get a book i'd seen there, but it wasn't there anymore! :( d'oh! i'll have to find it elsewhere, i guess. i did find a different book, tho - Iowa Curiosities, which i think i'll be able to use to plan a couple spring/summer road trips w/ mom & the boys! i mean, i know i've seen lots of things i wanted to visit along the interstates, and i think this should be the year we do it! lol
we found these neat Easter eggs which were different - crossing symbols & taxis & such. unfortunately, the candy inside was not suitable, atomic firebombs & double bubble. :( still, i should get them & anthony could have the candy & leyton could have the eggs... hmm. i'll have to think about that! as we were leaving, leyton saw grapes & so we had to get those. it's a huge box of them, and the grapes themselves are biiig & tasty. normally i don't like green grapes so much, but these're good! : ) we checked out, but the cashier didn't scan my book, which of course i didn't realize... thankfully, leyton wanted a soda & piece of pizza, so we got that & sat down to eat along w/ some of the grapes. (normally i would wash them before eating, but napkins worked.) it was nice to just hang out & chat w/ him while we ate. he's so funny!! i should've taken a picture... he was pretending to be a ninja, and i was his linja, which when i asked him why a "linja" he said cuz i'm his assistant? idk what that meant, but it was funny! every time we had to go around a corner today, he would skulk around it & tell me to "hide behind him" to help him. LOL srsly so hilarious!
after sam's - had to stop at the customer service counter before we left in order to pay for the book - oh, and outside there were girl scouts selling cookies, so i bought a box of lemonades cuz i forgot to order them from my other troops & a box of PB Patties for mom. : )
so, after sam's, we tried to get gas, but it was crazy busy! then we went to kohl's. i found a cuuuute stuffed turtle! and monkey bowls & cups, hibiscus plates, cars for leyton, and a couple birthday gifts. i did NOT get a frame, towels, or silverware - which were the 3 things i went in there for! d'oh! i may need to go to BBB tomorrow. we'll see if i feel like leaving the house. LOL
leyton did pretty well, but was getting cranky. of course at just the time we were meeting mom & anthony for bowling! d'oh! and mom & i handle leyton's tantrums completely different, so it's hard when we're together & he has one. she thinks i'm too soft on him, i think she's too hard on him... but i don't want to step on toes. like, i don't want to confuse him or make him think he doesn't have to listen to gramma or ... whatever. still, there's no need to get ... mean? *sigh* she doesn't mean to be! she just gets exasperated when he & anthony are bickering & where i think about what's going on behind the attitudes, she just flat out gets upset that they're having them. *laugh* ya know? i'm sure ya know. altho i had my own exasperation w/ anthony - he started in right away w/ attitude. but i don't yell at him, not that mom yells, she just gets this tone in her voice. she always has, it's just the way she communicates! *laugh* anyway, i did snap at him, but i explained why - like, told him that he's being rude. which is also what i do to leyton. doesn't always work or anything! i'm not saying my way of handling the attitudes works better than mom's, just that i don't feel bad about the way i handle it.

we still had fun, despite the attitudes! i forgot how bowling is killer on the nails, tho! mom got high score, then anthony, me & leyton. for being 3, and his first time bowling, he did great! 78! w/ bumpers, of course, but still!! : )
after all that fun & game, we went to golden corral for lunch. i LOVE that place!!! best bread pudding! :) i started w/ a spinach salad w/ veggies & sesame seeds, new england clam chowder, all sortsa yumminess, and good food choices. heh.
then we decided to go to WM. i STILL didn't get the silverware! darn it! i did get a nice new laundry basket, tho. : ) i have a hamper, but it got moved to the kitchen for some reason. i could move it back, but it doesn't really work in my room. thus, the hampster. erm. hamper. LOL anthony got some supplies to make a sign for John Cena for next weekend when he & jen go to smackdown. (i think that's what they're going to. road to wrestlemania? marianne would know better the details! LOL)
after all of that fun, i remembered that i still had to do payroll today. oops! so that was about 7:30, i think. idk, but it went fairly well & only a couple random issues that were easy to resolve. heh. finally got home, before 9, exhausted, tho!
now mish & i are watching buffy & i think i'll be going to bed soon. : ) have a great one & do leave some love!
