oh the wonders of the cold (and AWESOME customer service at Chick Fil A)

the head cold, i mean.  i have one.  it sucks.  i'm all stuffy & runny & heavy-headed.  :(  AND this was the busiest week of my life at work!  oh my heck.  i processed over 250 claims yesterday, over 300 emails, a bunch  of phone calls - cuz everyone & their brother needed help with SOMETHING right when i am trying to get things done.  i've been at work til almost 7 all week, except tonight i thankfully got to leave at 6.  i could've stayed later, amount-of-work-wise, but i wanted to meet mom & the boys at chick fil a, so there ya go.  *laugh*  


at least i have felt ACCOMPLISHED this week, despite the ever-worsening sickness, which i think will be worse tomorrow.  then it should start getting better on saturday, I PRAY!  i had to apologize to my co-workers, today, because i kept sneezing & groaning because i couldn't breathe!!  thankfully i didn't get terribly stuffed up til later tonight, tho.  i was only semi-stuffed up (and sneezey lol) during the day... 


so, after work i met mom & the boys at chick fil a, and leyton was SO EXCITED that the cow was there!  : )  i LOVE watching them interact.  oh!  last night i stopped at CFA for a grilled chicken wrap & soup on my way home.  well, they were out of the wrap, but they had the caesar & the spicy chicken wraps available.  i said nah, i'll just take the soup, because neither of those wraps sounded appealing to me - it was after 7, i'd just gotten off work after the day of claims processing, i didn't feel well & i was tired.  they asked if i wanted it on the house, to try one of the wraps.  i said no thank you, but i really appreciated them going that extra mile!!  so, then tonight, mom & i were both going to order the grilled chicken wrap, but they were out again.  the gal who'd waited on me in the drive thru last night was there & said hi & heard they were out of "my" wrap again.  so she went over to the manager (head manager?  idk how the hierarchy of CFA works) & they gave me a coupon for a free meal on my next visit!!  :)  they totally did not have to do that - i wasn't dissatisfied w/ their service at all, and i didn't blame them for being out of the wrap - it's good, so it's no wonder it's popular!!  heh.  


so, THANK YOU, Jeremy T & all the staff at this Chick Fil A!  i salute you, i tip my hat (if i wore a hat) to you, and i APPRECIATE you!  i'm actually going to see if the CFA website has a kudos section... hmmm... 


after all that, we sat down to eat (i got more soup & a chicken salad sammich) & the play area was closed for cleaning (boo!  except also yay because we know they deep clean it!  *laugh*).  but they had crafts & so after we ate, mom & anthony left to go shopping, and leyton & i stayed to hang out w/ the cow & do the crafts.  he colored a dragon (well, he directed me as i colored the dragon!) & made a cup (well, directed the CFA gals w/ the sparkly paint-glue) & got a crown!  and a picture w/ the cow!!  : )  he loves that cow!  (i know, i said that already.)  i, on the other hand... i like the cow, i love the idea of the cow, and i think it's ingenious marketing!  however, i can't help but be uncomfortable around costumed characters... it's not anything i can really put my finger on... they just make me a little ... yeah.  but, i don't want to dampen leyton's enthusiasm for the cow, or for any potential characters we'll see when we go to disney in a couple years!  so, i try to interact w/ the cow & be excited w/ leyton about the cow, w/o actually having to be in close proximity to the cow... if that makes sense?!  and i also want to say, i admire the person/people who put(s) on that cow suit & makes the whole room light up!  they do an amazing, amazing job, and if it wouldn't make them break character, i would tell them that.  heh.  

anywhoo.... enough about the chick fil a cow, i know!  *laugh*  after the picture, leyton & the cow danced around a bit while i got his coat & hat on!  *laugh*  i wish i could have snapped pictures while we were doing it, it was rather cute.  : )  


then we headed to WM, where of course we spent some time in the toy section.  *laugh*  there were some cool toys on sale for $5!!  some cars stuff, and a food play set that leyton traded a train for!  and then we ended up seeing a thomas lego train & i let him get that, too.  but, the original train he'd picked out was $15.  for one toy!  instead, he got 3 toys for $16!  : )  i can handle that.  heh.  (and, actually, he got like 50 toys for $16, because the cars set has 4 cars & the food set has a bunch of play food pieces!  heehee!)


then we got the grocery part, and of course we had to look at the fishies!  

we finally got out of there at like 9:30.  oye!  i was SO TIRED!  and my feet hurt, because my work shoes were not made for long walks, lemme tell ya.  ouchie!  :(  but it was all worth it to hang out w/ leyton for awhile, even when he was being cranky!  


oye, and now it's 11:30 & i am so ready to sleep!  : )  i hope you've had a good week, and oh, if you could, please keep jen in prayer!  her back is still all wonky, the doctor said she has discs out of place & a tear & is going to need surgery.  :(  ouch!  so please pray for the surgeon, and for a quick recovery for her.
