patience

my current favorite photographers:

jana

brandee

paul allen

city.light

soon i will have some beautiful postcards featuring each of their work, which i will share with the postcrossing world.  and, because i am not only a postcard writer but also a collector, i'll be keeping one or two for myself.  : )

i have to wait awhile to receive the postcards i've ordered (and tentatively ordered - lol  still working out details with a couple people!) which is where a little bit of patience comes in.  heh.  i can be patient, of course.  sometimes i can even forget what i'm waiting for, so i'm pleasantly surprised when i get something in the mail (my checks, for an example!).  of course sometimes that goes the other way and i receive a bill i've forgotten about, but hey.  LOL

there's just something special and exciting about opening your mail box to lots of colorful pictures, right?  and to be able to provide that excitement to others is great fun!  it's also fun to share things that are completely unique (or mostly unique, even)!  you know how, when you find that cute little restaurant tucked away somewhere, and you rave to all your friends & then suddenly you can't get a table anymore because they are so busy from all your recommendations?  that's kinda how i feel about my photographer friends.  i want to share their work with everyone i know and beyond!  *laugh*  i admire their talent and drive.  i admire their love of the art.

each photographer has a different style, geography and subject matter.  i don't really have a "style" that i like, ya know?  different things speak to me at different times.  *laugh*  black & white, bright color, abstract, landscape, people, animals... i can't think of any subject or style i DON'T like.  well, gross, i wouldn't like anything gross.  i'm not so much into that!

so, i have spent today wheeling & dealing to get some pictures from those admired photographers turned into postcards & sent my way!  : )  it's been a good day!  i've also been having a walker marathon.  and i was gonna make brownies, but then went "meh" and ate a thin mint instead.  *laugh*  i do have a hankerin for brownies, tho, so i'm sure i'll make them soon.  i wanna get some vanilla ice cream to eat w/ them first, i think.

tomorrow i took some vacation in the morning - to sleep in - and then i made an appointment at saturn for chloe at 8:30!  what was i thinking?  i could've said 10 & been fine!  pooh.  oh well, as long as i remember to bring a book it'll be all good.  : )  i hope everyone had a restful day of rest, and remembered to thank the Lord for all His blessings!

ttfn.  : )
