yeah, i'm reusing a title. it's late, i've stayed up to watch yesterday's GH, and i really need to go to bed!! but, the words have to escape first so i can sleep well. : )
wednesday turned out to be a pretty great day, thank You Lord. work was busy but not crazy. lots of funny moments w/ the boss & his friends. seriously, you wouldn't think 3 grown men could make you laugh so much, but they're like the 3 musketeers (think charlie sheen, keifer sutherland, and oliver platt)!! idk who their chris o'donnell would be. hmmm. anywhoo, they are funny sometimes, and i'm enjoying my new desk quite a lot on those days in particular! *laugh* we also have a new addition to our team, so i got to play cruise director & send out a Welcome! email and do directory stuff. part of that was working on my calendar, which made me work on some vacation time, which is finally coming up at the end of the month!! i need it, and john tesh says you need at least 3 days off to actually "recoup" so i'm taking at least 5! well, "taking" ... i'm taking it over memorial day weekend, so i'll only need 2 days to take 5. : ) love it!!
after work, i braved the 74 bridge & it worked out okay. i did take the windy route to 7th street to get on that ramp, but it went pretty fast & i didn't get stuck in any of the insane traffic that was there yesterday (went thru RI yesterday to avoid it!). whew!! i went to the bank & then the new WM to see what bras they had for me. yesterday's trip to buy undergarments did not work out so well. they're remodelling my neighborhood store, so everything was craaaaammmmmed together & very difficult to find anything. then, unfortunately, the ones i found didn't work out. gotta take those back friday. anyway, i went to the other WM & found a couple that i THINK will work. we'll see! it was so nice to be able to peruse larger aisles, tho! soon my neighborhood WM will look just like that, too. i'm excited!!! : )
i met my friend becca & her son, nate, (who is a month & a half younger than leyton) for dinner at SensAsian (food blog, review & pictures...you wanna check out beck's order for sure!). cute place, nate is adooooorable, and it was nice to hang out w/ becca! (story - when we were in school, she was becky, and that's how april & i still think of her in our heads. however, she goes by rebecca & prefers it. what to do, what to do? i don't want to call her becky since that's not really who she is/how she feels. but B is the first to come to mind... so i generally now call her becca or becks. or bex. LOL okay, did i mention it's like way late?? *laugh*)
i got home (with leftovers for lunch tomorrow if i remember to bring them! yay!) around 7:30 & had to call sarahbug at 8. the plan we discussed when we were at her house in march was to do the omaha zoo for stephen's birthday. however, the DM zoo & science center would work out better for her & mark, and i don't really care as long as we all get to hang out. i love any and all zoos, and actually have not been to the DM zoo that i know of. so, i am all for that! hopefully joy will be for it, too. bob, unfortunately, may not be able to make it as stephen's bday weekend is when her in-laws might be planning their family vacation. d'oh! we'll see what works out, tho! : ) i'm rooting for DM because then maybe our DM friends (heidi, JEN M., who am i forgetting???) could join us for even MORE fun! heehee
watched gLee and really loved the episode until the end. boys are dumb sometimes. *laugh* sue sylvester & olivia newton john's duet & video for Let's Get Physical was terrific, tho!!! : ) i also, as i said, watched some GH. intense show, that! as i was watching (and reading alyssa's nashville blog http://alyssainnashville.blogspot.com/ , check it out! she has some good links to videos & pictures, as well as being an excellent writer), all of a sudden i heard what sounded like a shuffling crash from the back bedroom or library. i figured it was angel, til she shifted at my feet! i went to investigate. nothing in the guest room. nothing in the library. then i checked the closet & found that the hanger my dad's old bomber jacket had been hanging on had basically disintegrated for no apparent reason.
totally weird, dude! but happy it wasn't a critter or intruder who somehow got into the house w/o my noticing. LOL
anywhoo! thanks for sharing my day with me, party peeps! i really must go to SLEEP. praying hard that i get up on time & don't feel icky! (this morning i was up way early, but siiiiick & not sure if i was gonna make it to work or to dinner w/ rebecca! thank God that passed by like 10. yeesh!)
