i made a scrambled egg & pancakes for breakfast. yummy! listened to some pandora & read some blogs. got some laundry done. then it was time to run some errands & head to melissa's bridal shower. : ) i went to target to grab a gc for mel & also found JAG season 4. woot! except, duh, i don't have season 3!! whoops. so, i'll be on the look out for that now. LOL next i went to hallmark... well, i intended to go to hallmark, but i took the wrong exit. yes, i took the wrong exit in my hometown on a road i travel all the time. yeesh! LOL so i just took the long way to hallmark! i have a $7 rewards certificate - which was not in my purse! d'oh! ah well. i picked up a card for mel & some mother's day cards & they had a food table set up, so i sampled some cheese ball. : )
then it was off to the party! it was in a town i haven't been to in a looooong time, and i wasn't quite sure how to get there. melissa had given me general directions, but forgot to put East or West! so i chose East & texed her to make sure it was correct, and it was. yay! only got turned around once & made it just a few minutes late. woot! it was a hawaiian theme (as is her wedding) and we were given flower hair clips. cute! they were numbered & played into games, later, but we got to keep them. heh.
bride-to-be and her fruity drink : )
i sat w/ these two, who are a RIOT, seriously:
they were having a balloon fight there, so funny. LOL the food was amaaaaazing! and the way melissa's moms (not like THAT) set up the table, it was really neat. they had punch in a bucket, too!
such a good time, i'm so glad i didn't get lost or sick or have a panic attack (or, rather, give in to the panic attack, because i had several on my way there!)! : ) it was a looooong party, tho! *laugh* i didn't get home til like 6:30! and the party started at 2! we were having so much fun, lots of laughter, and good stories & all that good stuff!
tonight i am watching ghost whisperer & CSI & survivor (oh my goodness!!! awesome!) & ... maybe glee again. : ) i hope everyone had a fun & great saturday! tomorrow, i am RESTING! ttfn. : )
Looks like it was fun! My daughter would loooooove a hula Barbie cake...hmmm...there may have to be one at our school's out party!
ReplyDeletehaha! Jess, you should totally make that cake for her school's out party! The great thing about it, other than just being cool, is that you can make it any kinda two layers you want!!
