Dude.

hi blog buddies!  so, as discussed previously, i have recently reaquired (reacquired? neither of those looks right, and i'm too tired to go to dictionary.com right now, sorry!) an affection for the term "dude."  i use it quite often now.  it has become a part of my vocabulary that i use w/o even thinking, like "loo" or "farden" or "frack."  my darling nephew thinks "dude" is a bad word.

huh?  like, how?

phil, mom & i have all tried to ascertain exactly why he thinks this way, but he doesn't have an explanation.  all he knows is, dude is naughty.  *boggle*  i do hope to figure this mystery out soon, because it's driving me bonkers!

dude, what's up?

other than that lecture (LOL) we had some fun.  we saw some breakdancers on a commercial, and i said, "OH, now that we have this cardboard laying out here, we should teach leyton to breakdance!"  and he immediately got on the cardboard & tried to do a headstand!  LOL  apparently someone else is already teaching him...

i just missed the headstand/spinny move!

he & gramma had oh so much fun, as well.

i found out that mom & i have been experiencing the same ennui lately.  and this weekend is buuuuuusy, so no time for a movie!  i'm working on saturday for a couple hours & then gonna play w/ leyton so mom can go to kara's wedding.  hopefully we'll both be able to snap outta stuff soon, tho!!

prior to all of these fun & games, i was at work.  our company has a health fair every year, where vendors come & set up tables & hand out healthy samples & tidbits & whatnots.  i always like to go, for the food samples and also all the free trinkets the vendors have - read: PENS!!!!  heehee.  of course, realizing that i am perhaps a little too obsessed with said pens, i gave some of them away, which everyone enjoyed!  : )

our chef who joined us for one of our 13 weeks meetings was there, making his delicious spinach strawberry salad.  it was just as good this time as the last time, and i seriously wish i would have taken a picture!  did i take a picture for the food blog back then?  i do not remember...

anywhoo, so being gone for the first two hours of the day made the morning fly by!  *laugh*  the afternoon was quite busy preparing for a couple meetings next week (which, interestingly, were scheduled by the same person for the same day - what's up with that?).  so excited to start the new process for one of my duties!!!

*yawn*  i came home after survivor, stopping at sonic for a free cherry limeade on the way.  : )  i love their survey!  i'm there enough that i still have 3 left!  woot!  free is always nice.  watched the good wife & criminal minds.  both awesome episodes.  i can't believe it's may already & all the shows are doing season finales!!  soon it will be time to break out the dvd's (buffy marathon is in store, for sure!) and await the summer shows (BIG BROTHER!!).  but, for now, i think sleep is calling my name.

have a great one & TGIF tomorrow!  : )  ttfn!

ohhh!  p.s.

i got ANOTHER $1 in the mail today from the radio survey company!  thanks, guys.  LOL  also, i got an email from a fashion website, complimenting my blog & asking me to be a part of their site.  ummm...?  fashion?!  i sent a note back saying thank you, but i think i'll have to decline.  i like shiny things as much as the next girl, but i am so not into fashion - well, that's not entirely true, as i do like fashion SALvation, but that's mostly because i like sal & think he's awesome & i'm interested in what he has to say.  mostly what i think about "fashion" is that it's for skinny ppl w/ too much time and money on their hands.  i could look fabulous, too, if i had unlimited money and access to the companies that make spiffy clothes for my size!  (sidebar: yes, LB and christopher & banks do make lovely clothes that i can wear, but certain things at LB are made for girls who are more well endowed than i am - sorry, not all big girls were blessed w/ big boobies!  i buy most of my skirts at C&B, and i LOVE them, but women's tops in general leave me claustrophobic.  i have wide shoulders and whatnot, but again, not big boobs.  so women's shirts tend to be gaping and tight, and the sleeves too short, but loose in the chesty area.  which, trust me, is NOT a fashion forward look for anyone!  *laugh*  /sidebar.)

wow, really, sleep now.  ; )

ttfn again!
