type

i have a meeting in the morning at 8, which means i need to get up 1/2 an hour earlier than normal.  so, what do i do?  stay up later than normal!  i'm a dork.  and nocturnal.  and the type of girl who's not afraid to admit that!  ; )  i'm the type of girl who likes good music (listening to michael grimm sing Walkin In Memphis right now and oh my heck, *swoon*).  the type of girl who loves her family.  they are seriously amazing, and Lord, thank You so much for blessing me with them!!

tonight my uncle john & aunt debbie were in town from kentucky.  we took over the back porch of sancho's for dinner.  it was great!  i didn't get pictures of everyone, but almost!  i should have, but i let myself get distracted by hunger.  *laugh*  and leyton got his hair cut & i think he grew an inch since last week and i just want to cuddle him all the time.  AND anthony is back in town & i love him so much and am so happy he'll be here for the summer!!!

i actually remembered to take pictures of the food, which will be up on the menu blog probably tomorrow.  i'm asking aunt nancy & uncle gene to write a little something about their meal choices as well.  (and tomorrow night the plan is to meet becca at olive tree, which will be a new food experience and i will - WILL- remember to take pictures there, too!)

my other mom (we're told there's a resemblance...LOL) a.k.a. aunt nancy, and her cool spouse, uncle gene.  they recently spent a relaxing month in key west, eating all the fresh shrimp they could handle!

aunt nancy very kindly gave leyton some change to play games  : )

doesn't he look so grown up???  am gonna miss him next week when he's in AZ

anthony wanted hot sauce, but went with salt instead.  heh. am gonna miss him, too, next week.  i was very, very glad that he got to hang out here for a week before the arizona trip.  originally, i thought he wasn't coming here til after!

it was an awesomely nice time, AND linzie was working (she's a friend via trish) which was really cool.  i hope my family tips well...otherwise i'll be slightly embarassed!  she did an EXCELLENT job with our big group!

i received two postcards in the mail today!!!  i seriously can not get enough of the postcrossing thing.  did i mention that my friend sergio is going to sign up?  i'm excited for him, i think it'll be awesome and he'll love receiving and sending the postcards!  he's had kinda a rough couple of years, but God is good and is working a healing in his body, amen!  : )

postcard #1, from Wales.

postcard #2, from Holland.  : )

i had planned to watch night 2 of america's got talent, because trish & al & i were discussing it at lunch (maid rite, yum!) and al told me about some of the neat acts.  however, when i logged in to hulu, i discovered a new webseries, called twentysixmiles.  john schneider is the star, along with jessica tuck, who happens to be one of my favorite actresses.  so i watched the first two episodes of that & it's very sweet!!  about a dad who moves to catalina (26 miles from the coast of california?  is that where they got the name?) to be w/ his kids & prove to himself he is a good dad.  and he is a good dad!  if you're looking for a nice family-oriented show to watch this summer, i give the first two episodes thumbs up!  : )

and with that, i shall say goodnight, and take care!

ttfn.  : )
