anywhoo, i did thankfully make it to mel & shawn's wedding reception. that was a blast!! i thought more ppl from work would be there, but i didn't sit w/ the ones who were. idk why, they're nice ppl, but i sat by myself, waiting for trish & al. they had some graduation parties of their own to go to, tho, so they didn't get there til after i left! whoops! lol i was joined at my table by some very nice ppl, tho, and had a BLAST! : ) we talked about healthcare and work and vacations and dogs (they raise showdogs, how cool is that??). very nice! the hall was decorated marvelously, the theme was a luau. hibiscus & leis & a coconut tree cake & pulled pork for eats! pictures of the food can be seen here.
sadly, my camera was somehow on the wrong setting when mel & shawn came in, so the only really clear picture i have is this one - and shawn's kinda not in it!!!
oh, for favors they did the neatest business-card-type cards, with pictures of them & the kids & the web address to view pictures next week. how nifty!!
after the party (i didn't stay for the dancing portion) i thought i would just be home vegging, but mom called to see if i wanted to come over & watch a movie. so i popped some corn & headed over there to watch Whip It! it was quite a good movie, and we both enjoyed! she'd also rented Valentine's Day, which i want to see, but by the time whip it was over it was nearly 11. so i came home & ended up working on two blogs (which i'm still working on so i'll post them probably later today), watching Glee and staying up til nearly 4!!! what the what?? *laugh* i thought i would sleep til noon, but ended up, up at like 9:30. craziness!
today i am just resting, watching chuck norris & eating subway for dinner, i think. : )
