this was a very nice last full staycation day. sleeping in, cheese tortillas for brunch, watched the season (series? will it be back?) finale of Bones, and had a Chuck marathon of the last 4 episodes of the season. LOVE Chuck marathons! especially when scott bakula guests as chuck & ellie's dad. i have a crush on his voice. i mean, i find him attractive - no doubt! - but what i love best about him is his voice. i can hear him in my head, lines from Quantum Leap of course, and i love the cadence of his voice with dean stockwell's. they are both smooth and gravelly at the same time. delish! i also love that about chris noth's voice. mmmm.
so, yes, tangent a bit! after the final ep of Chuck, i headed out to WM to pick up my rx (finally!) and then went to misha's graduation party at aunt carol's (her nana). it was so nice to be greeted with hugs and genuine happiness! i stayed about an hour & got to visit w/ cousins & aunts & an uncle & family friends & meet some new peeps. it was fun, and i wish i would have stayed longer, but i was hit w/ a panic attack that i wasn't expecting!! the party was in the backyard, and after chatting w/ ron & mike for awhile, i went up to the deck to say goodbye. but then misha wasn't up there at that moment & there were some other ppl i wanted to visit with, so i was going to sit down & stay up there awhile.
suddenly, it was like i was in a tunnel & everyone was staring right at me and pointing and laughing (they weren't!) and i got all befuddled and had to get out of there. i mean, everyone was looking at me, but that's because i was talking for pete's sakes, saying how nice it was to see everyone. and it's a big deck, but it was full of tables & chairs & ppl & idk, it happened SO suddenly, i can't even tell you what flipped the switch from sitting down to "have to flee" mode. and then, ron was behind me & oh his daughter & wife, who i wanted to say hi to, but i was mostly on autopilot get to my car. then ron said something funny, and i said something back, but i don't even know what because it was just "go, run, go go go!" for me!
oye. seriously, i was great til that. i was having fun, i was mingling and talking to everyone and even got some pictures! it was a beautiful evening, not too hot - tho i was getting warmer & more uncomfortable the more i was there, and i did feel a little like, "where do i go? who do i chat with?" but it wasn't like i couldn't chat w/ everyone there. ya know? i don't know if you can truly "know" unless you've experienced it, i guess. boo & i even had a brief discussion about social situations & how we were doing okay at the party & stuff.
it's a wacky place inside my head sometimes, i tell ya!! so, anyway, here are some pictures. : ) the first two are a roughhousing duo (little brother was being ornery, and he's TALL) of which interestingly this post from a kitty blog i read tonight reminded me!!!

i love twins! i'd hoped phil would have twins, but leyton is as much fun as two little boys, so i guess i can live with it. LOL
oh! speaking of nephews... anthony is back in town for the summertime, altho i'm not sure i'll get to see him before he & leyton & jen go on vacation to visit her parents & sister for a week! i think he'll be at mom's thursday... we'll see! : ) but yay!!!! happy that he's back for a bit!!
despite the panicky time, today was a fabulously blessed day. and the rains held off til later. it's coming down good right now, it seems to be a fairly fast-moving storm system, and hopefully the severe stuff will pass us by! should make for good sleeping weather. : ) speaking of which, i need to head to bed soon. meeting cousin jenni (and aunt judy? i forgot to ask when i talked to jenni tonight!) for lunch tomorrow before heading back to work.
it's been a lovely staycation, altho it didn't feel like i STAYED home very much! lol have a great night/day & may the Lord bless you and yours!! love!
