Cute postcrossing from poland, right?  kinda looks like an angry tooncis, if tooncis had been floofy.  he was fairly sleek, tho.  : )  

today was my exhausted day.  i was dragging allllllll day.  i finally got my 2nd wind (1st wind?  can it be a 2nd wind if you've felt like sleeping since you woke up?) about 8 o'clock, as i was finishing payroll!  *laugh*  

hungry hobo for dinner was yummy.  i thought i'd ordered a pepperoni sandwich, but then as i was trying to slowly enjoy it as i drove to aunt jan's, i realized it was ... turkey?!  whoops.  i guess that's what i get for ordering by number somewhere i don't eat often enough anymore, w/o looking at the menu board!  heh.

gosh it made me laugh and cry, again.  santana.  *heart breaking*  oh my goodness!  i missed a couple minutes - did quinn & finn get their bounce on?  cuz, ya know, she was JUST pregnant... 

anywhoo.

misha & bret were so cute tonight.  they got home from church around 10, and sat on the couch eating their snacks.  then bret wanted to go to sleep, and the couch is his bed.  so he asked misha to get off his bed.  she said she would, for a hug.  he pretended to be all "grumble grumble" about it, but gave her a hug.  it was adorable!  : )  

i kinda went off on them, tho.  well, bret.  i hope i wasn't too harsh, but that i was harsh enough that my point got across to him, w/o him doing the "young adult" thing of tuning ppl out... 

see, he has been having trouble sleeping, which isn't good, and i wish i could help or whatever, but he is sleeping in the living room and my computer is in the living room and well, i don't often go to bed at the same time he does.  hopefully that's not contributing to his issues... mostly his issue is that he keeps waking up in the middle of the night?  idk, i'm always up every night to go potty, and then i go back to sleep.  *laugh*  *ponder*  maybe the flushing toilet wakes him up?  :(  hmmm.  

anyway!  so, what happened...he said, "if i don't get lots of sleep tonight i'll kill myself." and i turned around & snapppped.  i said, "i don't ever, EVER want to hear you say that again.  suicide is not a joke." and then i went on to talk about the young man this week, and uncle ken, and holly... i wanted him, them both, to understand that suicide or even the offhand remark of "killing myself" are not joking matters.  EVER.  i hated my voice, tho, it was so mean!!  when i heard it, i tried to rein it in & went into more detail about why i was so adamant about not using that phrase!

had an interesting FB comment conversation w/ uncle gene & cousin rachael tonight.  lol  if you're my FB friend (and, um, why wouldn't you be?  no, wait, i'm only kidding.  my posts aren't anything spectacular or anything.  *laugh*  plus, you're here, and that's good enough for me!  *wink*) anyway, if you're my FB friend, check out our conversation string on last night's menu link on my wall.  they are both so funny!!  

dear february and march birthday friends... HAPPY BIRTHDAY!  i love you, and i have pressies for you!  however, after the joy of getting things out so early for Christmas, coupled w/ working insane hours and having leyton this past weekend, have all equaled no time to get to the PO for mailing packages.  should you be receiving one.  LOL  and so i beg of you, please forgive me for the lateness!  yes, even you, bob.  i'm preemptively asking forgiveness for sending your present late and your bday isn't til next week!  so, there is the possibility that... no, really, it's going to be late.  i'm sorry!!  love you!  : )  

today was ash wednesday.  do you do the traditional ash wednesday service and observance of Lent?  i grew up AoG & we never did.  as i've gotten older and been made aware of the process behind lent, and how it's not about "ooh, i'm giving up coffee for lent" which is how it always seemed to me growing up, i've been thinking about it more.  i'm not giving anything up, per se, but i am making a commitment to think about the Lord's sacrifice more over the next 40 days, and try to do more to help those around me.  i don't really have a lot of time to sacrifice right now!  but that's what makes it a sacrifice... ya know?  

speaking of lent, and easter... 

i had a meeting the other day.  in the course of this meeting, it was decided that we would celebrate Earth Day instead of Good Friday, even tho we are off on that friday FOR Good Friday and not Earth Day.  because Easter might offend someone.  

i was offended.

i spoke up about it, too.  hopefully in a polite way.  but really!  

harrumph.  

it's seriously midnight again!  argh!  i need to sleep.
