so, this morning was a pisser.  i really dislike feeling misled, feeling bullied, and being treated like i'm not an adult that can make decisions.  it's even worse when it's not just me that is being treated poorly... anyway, it was an irritating day in that regard.  OTHER than that annoyance (and let me be clear that's all it was, an annoyance, one that i wouldn't feel right if i stayed quiet about, but one that i can manage) the day went nicely.  VERY productive.  :)  and i got to chat/vent w/ mary before i left, which was nice.  


i really appreciated my friends talking me down from the edge this morning, tho.  my temper, in matters of (what i feel is) injustice, tends to flare up quickly and i want to take action rightthen.  *laugh*  but that's not always the RIGHT thing to do.  so it's nice to be able to count on my friends to talk me out of going to fast.  heh.  

those are two postcrossings i got today.  : )  the top one is belarus & the bottom is finland.  i also got a sweet, sweet letter from micaela!  hooray!!  : )  can't wait to write back!  much as i love email and blogging and the wonders and joys of internet communication, nothing can replace handwriting a letter and receiving one back!  love it!  


on the way home, crossing the bridge, some yahoo was in the left lane & decided to try & get in the right lane to take an exit.  only by the grace of our Lord was there not a 6 car pile up on the bridge!  


i got home a little before 7 & didn't go in, just picked bret up & we went to WM for groceries.  i got some artichoke hearts because i haven't had them before & have been wanting to try them.  anyone know any good recipes utilizing them??  also got some string cheese to take to work.  (and shoot, i just realized i forgot to get carrots for my wall-mate, because i accidentally ate hers... d'oh!)  i found a new popcorn bowl and a neat cup/straw for work.  i'm tired of constantly using disposable cups.  ugh!  hopefully i'll like this cup!  it's pretty, too - green & yellow polka dots.  have you guys seen the new theme in WM's home area?  POLKA DOTS!  i have never had a love of polka dots, but for some reason i really like these!  towels, wash cloths, trash bins, pillows, sheets, cups, bowls, plates... oh my heck, it's enough to make me want to redo a room!  i'm kinda contemplating.  : )  


it was a good grocery haul, and nice to hang out w/ bret as always!  but we didn't get home til 9 - and i didn't have to carry in ANY groceries, cuz misha & andrew were here, so the 3 of them carried in everything w/ their young-person strength.  hee!  


i wanted to get to bed before midnight, but alas, got sucked into buffy w/ misha & it took me forever to write this post!  ; )  off i go to sleepy land, tho.  i hope your day went well, and TGIF!!!!!!!!!
