New Year's Eve Review

TGIF!!!!

ah, it was a nice day.  

i did get to spend some quality time crushing on my crush. 

must take advantage of it while i can!  *laugh*  

after work, mom & i went to see New Year's Eve.

it was CUUUUUTE!  

seriously, the cast is brilliantly put together.

jon bon jovi, katherine heigel, JOSH DUHAMEL (major crush!), ashton kutcher, leah michelle, ZAC EFFRON (crush!) did an amaazing job... hector elizandro (sp?)(CRUSH).

i'm a little boy crazy this week, yes?  LOL 

so, the movie was sweet, FUNNY (lots of laughter throughout the theatre), just the right touch of romantic.  i got the warm fuzzy feeling.  it was about love, but not just romance.  it was about love btwn a father and daughter, mother and daughter, friends, married couples, LOVE!  

so, yes, i recommend spending your money to see this one.

i'd actually like to go again.

and will own it.  : )  

oh, and the outtake stuff during the credits - HILARIOUS!  

mom & i got into a little dustup on the way out, because i tried to pay her for my half of our DC trip, and she didn't think it was enough, and instead of saying it like a normal person, she got all snippy and acted like i wasn't going to pay her.  idk, i'm not really mad or upset, exactly, as it was just typical mom stuff.  i guess i was disappointed at the way she approached it, because i thought we were past her treating me like that.  past her assuming i was doing something wrong or ... something.  

idk.

anyway.  we're fine.  it just made me have a moment of - oooh, i was gonna just go on my own, why'd i have to invite her?  but i WANT to go w/ her, i just WANT her to not be a witch on our trip.  : )  

*yawn* 

anyway, time to go to bed.  tomorrow is christmas movie time at trish's!  woot!

i do love music!  


today was a whole lotta - sleeping in, watching White Collar, catching up w/ blogs (it's so easy to get behind!), writing bills, opening lip balm (yankee candle lip balm!  so cute & so far i like how it feels/tastes!), CLEANING, letting the pest control dude in, errands (bank/post office/BK for an iced coffee).  i went to phil's to hang out w/ him & the boys for a little bit before they left.  they were playing monopoly - and leyton was beating anthony!!  LOL  phil was buying up all kindsa properties, so i'm thinking he was winning.  : ) 


while there, i read the latest TV Guide, which told me which of my shows got the axe - No Ordinary Family & Human Target.  *cry*  no more of this guy??  how will i go on?

and guererro!  dude!  i will miss this team.  

this show will have to join my dvd collection.  

and NOF was unique & awesome & super hero-y.  and, hello, GREAT cast as well!  wth?!!  :(   


so, that was disappointing.  also disappointing - didn't get to chat w/ april.  *sniffle*  


not disappointing?  baylee's fundraiser.  spending time w/ my family.   : )  

 they have groupies!!  : )  

the sky was beautiful on my way home.  i love God's artwork!!  

and more WC!  i'll be done w/ season 1 soon & then will move on to season 1 of Royal Pains.  : )  but that'll be after my long weekend of fun w/ joyums & her family!

Yankee Candle Lip Balm - A Review and Giveaway!

so, i recently acquired some of this delicious lip balm, and want to share it with you, dear bloggy friends!  


the balms come in a variety of different flavors, just like the candles themselves!  i bought a four pack with Sweet Strawberry, Vanilla Cupcake, Christmas Cookie, and Vanilla Lime flavors.  i've used the Strawberry & Lime, and they are both quite nice!  the balm goes on smooth & doesn't leave my lips feeling sticky or cracked, which some flavored balms can do.  


the balms are packaged to look just like the jars, tiny little 3 inch candles.  heh.  i thought the lid would come off just like the jars, but it's actually a little lower.  had to peel off part of the label to open.  then the bottom twists up.  SO CUTE!  : )

heavy thoughts for bedtime, i know!  well, it might not be bedtime when you're reading this... LOL  but it's bedtime as i write!  thank God the AC finally has cooled down the house.  we broke a record today, i think, getting up to 92 degrees!  it's supposed to be SPRING!  last week it was coooold & rainy & this week it's muggy & still rainy (or so they say for the rest of the week).

hot waffles and eggs and bacon...

These are what I'm currently craving! We didn't get up til 11 so we missed breakfast downstairs. I had some popcorn after my shower, but waffles sound better! But it's lunchtime now so idk where we'll eat.

okay, today was interesting. Popcorn for breakfast, master wok chinese for lunch, movie popcorn for snack, and fazoli's italian for dinner.

No museums, no shopping (unless you count WM, where we seem to end up at least once no matter what town we are in!), no zoo... Lots of driving around. Bah!! We had to drop off some clothes for Shawna and that meant finding Tim & Amy's. Due to a miscommunication, we had the wrong address and only found it thanks to a helpful postman!!

Then we tried to find the Onething venue for some worship, but Penelope just took us to the ghetto! Lol ...
