seriously tired

pain is draining.


going to the dds tomorrow morning, then going to work if there's time, then taking my last 4 hours of vacation.  since i don't get to go to the wedding (*CRY*), i'm hoping to hang out w/ mom & leyton.  of course, it'll depend on what happens at the dentist & if i need recovery time!  (oh, Lord, please let it be something easy to fix?!)


work went okay, the pain was manageable (thank God) and i didn't feel like i was going to pass out like yesterday, so that also was a blessing.  we got free pizza for lunch from a manager in another area.  he bought it as a thank you for all our help & hard work.  : )  that was nice!!  


after work i stopped at the store cuz trish asked me to get brownie mix, and then headed to her house.  she made DELICIOUS tacos w/ deer meat.  nom nom nom!  : )  we watched survivor & missing & secret circle & awake.  oh my goodness, EXCELLENT season finale for SC!!!  oh!  and while watching awake i saw a preview for rookie blue which starts on the 24th!  so excited!!!!  : )  


now i'm catching up on GH & then hitting the hay.  as you would imagine, i'm fairly exhausted.  LOL

drama llama go away

that darn llama has been visiting everywhere lately!  you know my saga w/ my jaw/tooth.  well, today i ended up feeling so yucky that i left at 1:30 & came home to rest.  i've been feeling better & not off & on all afternoon/evening.  i went to mom's for survivor -  good season, but there's no rob.  altho kim is trying really hard to be a female rob... i like him better, tho.  LOL  


lots of parent health issues - my mom, sarah's mom, debi's father-in-law... prayers, please and thank you!


friends ending up in the ER.  prayers there, too, please.  they're okay, but ER visits are never happy times.


ppl cheating on ppl.  ridiculous!  if you want to break up, BREAK UP.  be a man/woman and tell your partner that you don't want to hang out w/ them anymore.  will it hurt?  YES.  but it will feel a lot better than being duped and lied to.  and also?  STD's.  when you sleep w/ your partner and then cheat on them and sleep w/ them again, you are potentially spreading NASTY DISEASES to them, the innocent party.  SERIOUSLY.  ticks me off.  


parent A telling parent B that they should "do what's best for the child" when a disagreement happens.  parent A is the parent who only uses the child for show.  yeah.  that situation is happening w/ at least 3 ppl i know.  what the what?!?!


my phone wasn't giving me texts for the past couple of days.  i kept texting ppl & no one was getting back to me & i was feeling really sad about it!  then trish called me tonight & i took my battery out & put it back in & suddenly like 30 texts popped up!  whoops!  


called baylee to let her know i have to miss her wedding.  it was nice to talk to her, but the reason made me cry.  :(  i don't want to miss my little strawberry's wedding!!!!!  *sigh*  but i got ahold of the dds & she said if it's still hurting after all this time & medicine, then she really needs to look at it again & figure out what's going on, before tuesday.  so, friday morning it is.  which means that i'll go to the dds at 8, then into work for 4 hours, whatever time that works out to be, and then take my last 4 hours of vacation.  


*sigh sigh sigh*


on an up note, before i go to bed... trish told me i should watch SMASH, but i hadn't a chance yet to see it. well, tonight when i got home i started w/ episode 10 (because the previous ones are on hulu plus of course, oye) & i am HOOKED for certain!  are you watching??  : )

actually, i think only castle was the season finale of those.  but thursday night is the season finale of secret circle, and sunday is the season finale of both celebrity apprentice & survivor.  : )  


back in the day, there was only one season - shows started in september and ended in may, with sweeps somewhere in the middle.  are there even sweeps anymore?  the way ppl watch tv has changed so much.  the way I watch shows certainly has.  it's not even TV anymore... LOL  for me, it's hulu.  for others, netflix.  ppl watch more on their phones & computers than actual TV's, don't ya think?  or, equally, maybe not more.  seasons have changed - there's a whole batch of shows during the summer now.  new programming, not reruns.  used to, if you missed your shows during the regular season, you could catch up w/ reruns during the summer.  not anymore, now you catch up online, or wait for the dvd's to come out.  dvd's are how i have watched several shows!  


today was kinda hazy.  in pain most of it.  in pain right now, but not as bad as it's been.  *sigh*  will have to call the dentist tomorrow.  was supposed to go to the eye doc today, but had to reschedule for next month.  hoping & praying this pain heals & doesn't hinder my fillings & oral surgery next week.  ugggh.  


hy vee for lunch w/ my wall-mate, that was nice.  nice end of the day meeting which was a lot of fun, even tho 1/2 way thru my mouth was really hurting & i should have excused myself for pain meds, but oh well.  oh, and hulu time when i got home.  : )  love love!  


now i'm off to chat w/ joy for a minute & watch GH & go to bed. what've you been up to??

i'm not even putting together coherent thoughts anymore.  LOL  i need to sleep.

today was a good day, tho, for a monday.

my wall-mate brought back maid rite for lunch.  it was yummy!

went over & over my finances & the timing & came to the sad (VERY SAD) conclusion that i'm not going to make it to baylee's wedding on friday.  i thought it was at 6:30, but it's at 2 in the afternoon.  i only have 4 hours of vacation left, and it's a 2-3 hour drive ... i'd planned to take off at 11:30 or so...so, idk.  right now i'm contemplating still heading down there for the reception.  we'll see!  i have to call baylee tomorrow...

tomorrow i have an eye appt.  praying everything is still okay w/ my eyes!!

my neighbors tonight were a treat.  LOL  having some sort of party/jam session.  i didn't mind, as the music was good (for R&B) but it was just so LOUD.  i mean, did it really need to be that loud??  y'all were right there, it's not like we were havin a block party or somethin.  yeesh.  anyway, then about 20 minutes ago, one of their kids & grandkids were banging on the door, yelling "MOM!  GRAMMA!  Let us in!  Open the door!"  i couldn't tell if they were being locked out or if their parent/grandparent was sleeping!  a little disturbing, tho!  hopefully everyone's okay - it's all quiet now anyway.

another busy day

i slept til noon today.  thank God, i needed the rest!!  LOL  but then it was go go go the rest of the day.  heh


i went to matt & melissa's shower at 2, down at the lake.  BEAUTIFUL scenery!  i was pretty nervous, but i did okay.  it helped that i knew most of the ppl there & they knew me.  : )  trish has a pretty good set of family/friends.  they remind me a lot of my family/friends - like, i know i can invite them all to a party & they'll get along & have fun w/ each other.  like my birthdays!  : )  


there were some fun games & stuff.  all the guys stepped up & participated in the dress the bride game. al was on my team, and he did a GREAT job!  hilarious - he stuffed TP rolls in his shirt for breasts.  but then took them out cuz he didn't want to give anyone else the idea, so he put them back in at the last minute.  LOL  


i had to leave after that game, to meet mom for dinner at aunt sharon's church.  leyton was still there - yay!!  so we got to play for a bit while mom got dressed.  : )  he was staying the night, so i got more hugs & hang out time when we got home, too!  winning!!  lol


dinner was a lot of fun!  johnna & nathan were there, which i wasn't expecting.  it was nice to catch up a little w/ her!  i sat by her & aunt judy, w/ aunt sandy & her granddaughter sophie (my cousin jonell's daughter, who is leyton's age) & mom across from me.  aunts nancy & vickie & nathan were on the other side of johnna.  aunt sharon, cousin amanda & her daughters along w/ some other ppl aunt sharon knows (her mom in law, maybe?  i'm not sure...) were at the table next to us.  

they served a bountiful feast - lettuce & fruit salads, rolls w/ butter, coffee & tea, pork chops, mac & cheese, corn, mashed potatoes & gravy, and cherry chip cake for dessert.  the theme was fiesta, so there were cute little toy pinatas & maracas on the table - which were commandeered by soph & nathan most of the night.  LOL  : )  and the entertainment was a mexican dance group who are part of our ballet group.  they did a great job!!  the girls thought so, too, as they were up dancing w/ them... : )  

we had to leave early to get home so phil could make it to his game before work, so we didn't get to see the colorful dancers, but i'm sure they did a great job, as well!  it was a fun, fun night!  : )  


when i got home, i finally caught up on GH (OMH, connie is really losing it; i really think sam is going to turn out to be mcbain's sister somehow; i LOVE all the little comments luke makes about mcbain reminding him of a vampire!!!; i love the jason/sam storyline.  i love that he's not just jumping right in w/ "yes, i'll love this baby" and that they are being honest talking thru feelings.  but hopefully this whole kidnapping thing will make sam realize that she needs to be AT HOME and make jason realize that mcbain isn't a bad guy - unless you're sonny...LOL)


i tried to watch the finder, as well, but there is a storm rolling thru & all the lightning is disrupting the signals, i think.  which is okay, as it's now 11:30 & i have to go to bed!  : )  


hope your sunday went GREAT!  i'm so grateful that the rain held off til tonight, so that the party wasn't flooded out!

Cinco de YANNI! : )

FABULOUS concert!  had to leave before he gave me the shout out that i'm sure he did, tho.  jen had a VB tournament & phil was forced into work, so leyton stayed at his house & we had to be back by 10:40 so he could make it in to work.  so, we had to leave the concert a little after 10.  yanni was talking when we left.  i wanted so bad to stay & listen!  pooh.


i have pictures, but of course they aren't very good.  we were close enough to see everything, but there were spotlights in inconvenient places for pictures.  LOL  i did record video of marching season, tho.  charlie drums for like 9 minutes on that song.  it's ... awesome!!!  : ) 

today before the concert - 


leyton got up at 6:30.  AGH!  i was not getting up then, so i fixed him some breakfast & set him up in the livingroom w/ a thomas dvd  & went back to bed.  LOL  not that he let me actually go back to sleep, but i did get another hour & a half of rest at least.  : )  

(this was my wake up call this morning.  LOL)  

we hung out here watching thomas & night at the museum until 11:30.  then it was time to get the baseball uni on & head over to phil's.  we hung out there for a bit, leyton had lunch and snuggle time w/ his dad.  mom & i left at 1 so we could stop by WM before the game.  she needed gas & to pick up her meds.  she's been diagnosed w/ a thyroid condition, so please keep her in prayer - not only for her health but for finances.  her insurance deductible is twice as much as mine, which is already a ridiculous number considering you pay premiums and co-pays, but whatever.  anyway, just please pray!!  thank you!  anyway, i stayed in the car & napped while she went into the store.  : )  it was a GORGEOUS day today!  hopefully it will be more of the same tomorrow, so matt & melissa's shower doesn't get rained out.  


mom wasn't really feeling well & asked if there was someone else who wanted to go w/ me to yanni.  :|  i did ask trish, but she already had plans going on.  and i mean, really, most of my friends aren't yanni fans - not that i think they dislike him, but i don't know that any of them would be up for a spur of the moment yanni concert, ya know?  thankfully she felt better after eating something, and she said that she was glad she went to the concert.  : )  


the game was fun, thankful for the super nice day!  didn't really get any good pics, tho, at the game.  got some nice ones in the car.  LOL 

after the game, phil went home to try & get some sleep, while mom, leyton & i went to mcd's for dinner (early dinner, it was only like 3:30 or 4!).  we tried one of their new strawberry cream pies - YUMMY!  leyton got a spy toy in his happy meal, but it was broken, so they gave him a different one.  : )  oh!  and while we were there, just before we left we saw my friend nannie!  : )  she was on lunch break from work & it was funny - i'd noticed her waiting for her food & thought, "that girl's hair is really pretty."  then she turned around & was like, "carrie?" and i said, "nan!"  heh!  so we chatted for a couple minutes before heading out. i love running into friends at random places!  


next we went to sam's to get some yogurt & TP & milk & stuff.  leyton hadn't really wanted to go, so we made it fun for him by splitting up.  LOL  mom took a cart & did the shopping, i took a cart & leyton rode in it & we hit up all the free sample booths.  there was some pretty yummy food today!  my favorites were the tyson teryaki chicken & the johnsonville burgers.  yummy!  oh, and i liked the sausage pancake things, too, which were leyton's favorite.  : )  while there, we ran into leyton's sunday school teacher, so that was neat, too!  : )  


we got back to mom's around 6 & just hung out & played til we had to wake phil up & then mom & i headed to the concert.  


ahhhh, yanni, i love you!  again, WONDERFUL concert!  can't wait for the next one!  lol  


now, BED is calling me.  i did watch some What Would You Do? and Grimm when i got home.  hooray!  tomorrow is another busy day - matt & melissa's wedding shower is at 2 & then mother-daughter dinner at aunt sharon's church at 5.  hoping to get to sleep in some, first, tho!!

fun day but meh

the meds are helping my jaw, but my tummy & head & shoulder still hurt.  :(  


hungry hobo w/ my wall-mate for lunch was fun and delicious!  


picked leyton up at 5:30 & we hung out at jen's for a little bit, playing w/a ball on the stairs.  heh.  we went to subway for dinner.  he is so polite, i love listening to him talking to ppl.  : )  also love listening to him sing in the car on the way to wherever we're going.  tonight he chose to sit at a tall table.  he chose apples over a cookie w/ his kid's pack.  he chose apple juice over soda.  (yeah, that was a lot of apples, but he shared the slices w/ me. :) )  he put carrots, cucumbers, and A pickle on his sandwich.  he wanted to sit closer to me after we'd started eating, so he moved his chair & climbed back up, but then was too far from the table.  i started to move his chair, but it was too heavy, so a nice young man standing in line by our table helped me pull it in.  it was sweet!  

next we went to old navy where i picked up a couple 4th of july shirts & a new pair of canvas tennies - in RED! - & leyton got a treat.  : )  leyton liked the rocks in the parking lot landscaping, so we stopped into michael's to see if they had any polished stones - they did, but in bags & leyton didn't want a whole bag.  idk why!  but he chose a pirate hat instead.  i was okay w/ that.  : )  


i'll post pictures of him in the hats later.  gotta load them from my phone.  heh.  they're cuuute!

on our way home, i remembered i needed to go to trish's & get my leftovers, so we swung by there.  she had the grandkids over & they were playing at the neighbor's so leyton got to run around & swing & chase kids & be chased & play on monkey bars... he came running up the hill when it was time to go home & said, "i need to go to sleep now!"  LOL  


we came home & washed his feet - too tired for a full bath!, popped some corn, watched a couple eps of thomas & then he was OUT after prayers!  


i stayed up to watch a couple eps of GH & write this blog & read a few of jana's, erin's, stephanie's & natalie's.  i think i read a couple more... i still have many friends to catch up with!  *laugh*  i think i'm caught up w/ brooke's, tho.  : )  and the twinkies are in cali, so i don't think they're worrying about posting this weekend.  LOL  


anyway!  i'm about to be OUT.  oh, PS - Draw Something is very addicting!  lol  and fun!  if anyone's on there, look me up & let's see how good we are at figuring out my bad drawings.  LOL CarrieMarieBoo, that would be me!
